Dear Paula:
Congratulations! This is to inform you that the following work has been selected for inclusion in the upcoming exhibition “IMPACT”
"It Is Our Light"
"Deliverance"
"Return to Innocence"
The television can hold attention for hours on end. Perhaps it is a remnant of the ancients‚ storytelling, however lost the meaning becomes in the flux of brain-numbing, soul-sucking content. It is a chance to turn off, to dumb down, to leave cognitive activity at the door, as it were. (Although, these days there are truly magnificent broadcasts if you care to find them) How can a piece of artwork compete with the offer of losing ones responsibility of observation? When we examine and define the purpose of making art, we realize that it fulfills an entirely different frontier. Perhaps, in most cases, art provides the balance to the present day‚s meaning deficiency. The work chosen for this exhibition has IMPACT to be reckoned with! The dates for the on-line posting of this exhibition will be March 1 through March 31, 2009. After that, the exhibition will be available for viewing as an archive for a number of months. Remember, keep in mind that this is an internet exhibition.
Your work was chosen from a substantial amount of submissions. We thank you for your amazing images and are very pleased to be working with you. Please feel free to contact us at the gallery at any time.
Sincerely,
Marjorie Kaye
